Ava – 12 Days New {Jacksonville Newborn Photographer}

Little baby Ava was beautiful from day one when her momma sent me a picture of her from the hospital to let me know Ava had arrived. And she was still just as precious when I finally got her in front of my camera 12 days later.

For already being the ripe old age of 12 days, Ava was a great sleeper. What? You didn’t know 12 days was old? 🙂 Ok, so that’s probably only the case in newborn photography. I usually prefer to photograph babies when they’re between 5 and 10 days, before they’re sleep patterns start to change. But Ava didn’t let on that she was older than that and slept soundly for most of her newborn photography session. What a dream!

Mom-to-be Andrea {New Bern Maternity Photographer}

Andrea and her husband are expecting their first baby very soon, and we wanted to catch this glowing mom-to-be in all her radiance before the little one arrived. So we met up in downtown New Bern for a beautiful maternity session in the colonial capital of North Carolina.

New Bern Maternity PhotographyI love all the brick backdrops you can find in our quaint little town. They make for perfect photo session settings. And it’s also on the water, where the Neuse and Trent Rivers meet, just adding to the charm for this maternity photography session.

This little one will be here before we know it! Congratulations to the happy parents-to-be.

Meet the “S” Family – {New Bern Family Photographer}

“You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them.” ~ Desmond Tutu

The “S” family – complete with a high school senior and a soon-to-be kindergartener – met me at Creekside Park for a New Bern family photography session. This location oozes rustic, woodsy and natural, just what mom was looking for as a backdrop for this fabulous session! Really, I mean, how awesome is this family!

This little girl just kept me laughing throughout the entire session. She has so much personality and spunk! She is also a pro already in front of a camera. How cute is she?

Her older sister is also a natural in front of the camera. These two sisters made my job easy on this day. And they are just so beautiful together!

Mason – 7 days new {Greenville Newborn Photographer}

So as I was photographing adorable little Zoe’s newborn photo session at her home in Stantonsburg, her cousin had just been welcomed into the world at the hospital! So one week later, and just a few doors down from Zoe’s home, I arrived to photograph her cousin, Mason. This charming, little boy was one week old and what a sleeper! Check out this cutie.

Zoe – 11 days new {Greenville Newborn Photographer}

Mom warned me this little girl liked to stay awake in the mornings (we had a morning session). Mom warned me this little girl’s sleeping patterns and length of sleep were changing. Mom warned me she was worried this little girl wasn’t going to sleep for the session. Mom warned me… but I took on the challenge. And let me tell you, little Zoe was certainly up to the challenge. She kept those beautiful eyes wide open, like she was worried she was going to miss something in this new world!
