“C” Family {Greenville Family Photographer}

What a joy to see little Grayson and his parents once again! The “C” Family met me at one of my favorite places for a Greenville photo session – Greensprings Park. And this time of year, the fall colors are just fabulous! See for yourself…

Maxwell – 11 days new! {Jacksonville Newborn Photographer}

Maxwell arrived just a day before his due date! I guess he just couldn’t wait any longer to meet his Marine dad and his mom, who were thrilled to welcome him into the world! I got to meet this cutie 11 days later for this Jacksonville newborn photo session. Dad serves his country as a pilot for the Marines, so I knew a aviator hat shot was a must. It’s one of my favorite hats!

Grayson – 10 months old {Greenville Children Photographer}

This little guy and his parents were troopers for this Greenville photo session in July! Have you been to eastern North Carolina in July? If you have, you know the oven the entire eastern half of the state becomes. An oven with air you can swim through! Even though we met in the morning, we were all working up a sweat to get these pictures. And just look how great this family looks!

Grayson’s parents actually used that monkey in their maternity photos, so it was very special to get to see him with it here! Does this boy look like he’s toughing it through the heat? No! He’s all smiles!!

This awesome family made this session a breeze! (if only I could say I didn’t have to break a sweat) Grayson was so chill, he just sat back and enjoyed a good book.

Virginia – 17 days new {Hubert Newborn Photographer}

I took an instant liking to this joyful little girl when I met her. Perhaps it’s her name, the one she shares with a state. After all, my daughter shares her name with a state too. Or perhaps it’s that she was born two weeks early, at exactly 38 weeks. My daughter made that her birthday too. Or maybe it’s just that she’s so adorable and was so easy to work with.

I mean, just take a look – a.d.o.r.a.b.l.e!

A Day at the Beach {New Bern children photographer}

My favorite photos to capture are the ones that are spontaneous, the ones that require no posing, the ones that capture life at its purest. When it comes to my own daughter, these are the kind of photos I capture most, partly because she’s had enough of mommy’s picture in her short six years. But also because I love to document her life. I always strive to spend part of a child or family photo session with you capturing these moments – the unexpected laugh, a moment of play, an embrace between child and parent.

On a recent trip to Florida, I captured my daughter’s little moments as we explored and played at the beach.
